On Saturday, December 14, SCLS Primary School International Division held its annual Christmas Concert. We decided to do something a bit different this year. We thought it would be special to present the parents a traditional, authentic Christmas concert.

Our concert this year represented the famous tradition of caroling, where children and adults go door-to-door singing Christmas songs around their neighborhoods.

So much work was done by the students, teachers, office staff, and technicians to put together a wonderful concert. I am very proud of all of them, and it was a great example of teamwork. Watching this concert reminded me of Christmas concerts from when I was a principal of primary schools in Canada.

There was so much energy and excitement in the days leading up to the concert, especially during the rehearsal last Friday. I saw students singing along and cheering on other students when the students were on stage. I heard students singing their Christmas carols while they were on the way to the buses or cafeteria at the end of the day. The Christmas spirit was definitely alive and well!

The staff did an excellent job of finding backgrounds, choosing the right versions of the songs, selecting the costumes, and picking great videos to accompany the students while they were performing.

Watching the students perform brought so much joy to my heart. They really enjoyed performing. It was clearly the culmination of everyone working so closely together to put on such an engaging performance.

The finale was absolutely special. It was so great to see all the students and teachers at the front singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas " to the audience. There was such a warm atmosphere in the theater!

We really hope everyone who saw the concert enjoyed it as much as I did.

From all the staff here at SCLS, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
